Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base requires the purchase and delivery of a Polytec VibroFlex Connect Fiber Optic Laser Doppler Vibrometer System and ancillary items for the Structural Validation Branch. This system utilizes laser Doppler velocimetry technology for high-accuracy velocity measurements on any surface type without requiring surface treatment, and is particularly useful for high-temperature applications where traditional accelerometers have limitations. The system must meet specific requirements, including a 1550nm laser wavelength, a minimum 6-foot fiber optic lens extender or integrated cable, a minimum bandwidth of 50kHz, a minimum velocity measurement capability of 12.5 m/s, and a baseline noise floor below 75 mm/s. It must function at a standoff distance of up to 100 meters and include Polytec MDE-Controller software compatible with at least eight units of the same model, expandable to more than ten sensors. The software should allow integration with existing government-owned Polytec systems (PSV-600-3D and PSV-500-1D) for data collection and display. The system must also provide an analog voltage output and the option to display output in terms of displacement and acceleration.
