Description
The U.S. Air Force is seeking to procure one Automated Viscosity Instrument capable of performing kinematic viscosity testing per ASTM D445 at -40 degrees Celsius. This instrument is required for the Aerospace Fuels Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to support testing of hydraulic and coolant fluids. The instrument must comply with ASTM D445 standards, maintain testing temperatures at -20°C and -40°C with an accuracy of +/-0.05°C, and operate on 110-120V, 50-60Hz power. It should be a benchtop instrument not exceeding 32 inches (W) x 26 inches (D) and must be delivered with all necessary accessories for operation down to the testing temperature of -40°C. Vendors must demonstrate that they directly employ qualified staff to install, provide training, and troubleshoot the instrument onsite. Delivery, installation, and training are required within 12 weeks after contract award to the specified address at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The product shall include a warranty of at least one year after receipt under normal and proper use. All products delivered must be manufactured in a qualifying country source in accordance with DFARS 225.872.
