Description
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), specifically the National Forensic Chemistry Center (NFCC), requires the purchase of one Field-Flow Fractionation Multi-Angle Light Scattering (FFF-MALS) system. This system will be used to characterize molecules by determining molecular mass, hydrodynamic radius, polydispersity, and concentration. It will expand the NFCC's capabilities to analyze biomolecules, vaccines, and other macromolecules that cannot currently be analyzed. The system must include a FFF system, UV detector, Refractive Index detector, Multi-Angle Laser Light Scattering (MALS) detector, liquid chromatography system, fraction collector, computer system, and associated software. The system must be new, come with a minimum one-year warranty, and include on-site installation and training.
