Description
The City of El Centro is requesting proposals from qualified and licensed security guard service providers to furnish routine unarmed security services at the El Centro Transfer Terminal, Downtown Town Square, City Hall, Aquatic Center, Brett Driscoll Sidewinder Skate Park, Old Post Office Pavilion, and Bucklin Park. Services include visible security presence, foot patrols, monitoring entrances and public areas, access control, observation and reporting of suspicious or unsafe activity, incident documentation, enforcement of facility rules, emergency response assistance, evacuation and crowd management support, and coordination with police, fire, emergency medical services, and City staff. The contractor must provide trained and licensed personnel, professional uniforms and conduct, required equipment and resources, and a climate-controlled guard space and air-conditioned vehicle for Bucklin Park duties. The proposal must include an introduction letter, contractor and organization information, project approach and work plan, staffing by facility, equipment and resources, similar-service experience and references, key-personnel resumes, and a separate fee schedule. The agreement term is two years, with up to three optional one-year extensions. Insurance, California-required licenses and certifications, and a drug-free workplace certification are required under the solicitation and agreement documents.
