Description
Carteret County Government is soliciting sealed bids for a turnkey replacement project at its occupied courthouse. The work includes approximately 154 fixed-pane windows; impact-rated breezeway doors and storefront systems; non-impact-rated courtyard storefront and curtain-wall systems; impact-rated west curtain-wall windows; factory-tinted glass; break-metal trim; hardware; field verification; permits; installation; interior and exterior finishing; debris removal; temporary weather protection; security coordination; dust and noise control; daily restoration; and final cleaning. The contractor must maintain safe courthouse operations and public access while coordinating work around court activities and restricted areas. Bidders must provide a phasing and logistics plan before beginning work, full-time supervision during construction, and required closeout documentation. The project is to be completed within 300 days after the Notice to Proceed, with the duration beginning after required submittals are approved and materials are on site. A 5% bid bond is due with the bid; the successful bidder must later provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The courthouse will remain occupied during construction, and equivalent products may be proposed subject to approval before bid opening.
