Description
The National Capital Commission is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate and reconstruct approximately 285 metres of historic limestone masonry garden walls at Maplelawn Garden. The work includes dismantling existing walls; documenting, salvaging, cleaning, and reinstating stone masonry and precast concrete copings; constructing new reinforced concrete footings and retaining-wall components; installing subdrains, insulation, waterproofing, and masonry reinforcement; and rebuilding entrance pillars and associated lighting. The scope also includes demolition and disposal, excavation and utility protection, traffic control and pedestrian detours, tree and environmental protection, irrigation and landscape reinstatement, sidewalk and asphalt restoration, temporary signage, and site restoration. The project is divided into phases, with work on the south and west walls in 2026 and the east and north walls in 2027. Proponents must submit a technical proposal, pricing, project experience, qualified personnel information, approach and methodology, client references, insurance verification, and bonding verification.
