Description
The project involves demolishing existing exterior windows and installing 17 new aluminum windows at the Vermillion Gun Shed. Work also includes infilling selected existing openings with insulated metal wall panels and metal stud framing, with an alternate infill option using polyisocyanurate insulation, Z-furring, and fiber-cement siding panels. Related work includes selective demolition, flashing, weather barriers, insulation, glazing, sealants, interior and exterior patching, painting, and associated construction activities. Electronic bids must be submitted through the State's electronic bidding platform. Bids exceeding $100,000 require either a certified, cashier's, or bank draft check for 5 percent of the bid, or a 10 percent bid bond. The project manual identifies a 120-calendar-day substantial-completion period from the Notice to Proceed and an additional 14 calendar days for final completion. Asbestos-containing window glazing is identified, and applicable handling and disposal procedures are required.
