Description
The South Dakota Department of Transportation is requesting proposals for comprehensive cleaning and care of the Ward Road single-site interstate rest area on Interstate 29. The contractor will perform daily cleaning and inspections, restroom sanitation, litter and trash management, lawn and grounds care, sidewalk maintenance, snow and ice removal in designated areas, recycling, annual deep cleaning, and monitoring of the kiosk and video surveillance system. The scope also includes minor plumbing and electrical repairs, water-system and sewage-lagoon monitoring, equipment and fixture maintenance, and compliance with the Department’s caretaker manual. The contractor must provide necessary vehicles, mowing and snow-removal equipment, fuel, parts, and other equipment, while the Department supplies specified materials and handles major repairs. Proposals must include the completed RFP form, an executive summary, a detailed technical response, a cost proposal, and information on at least three similar prior or current service contracts.
