Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, intends to issue a solicitation for the removal and replacement of the Gavins Point Powerhouse Intake crane runway rail located near Yankton, South Dakota. The project involves demolition and removal of existing intake crane rail, rail clips, asphalt, base plates, non-shrink grout, and concrete anchors, followed by installation of new rail aligned to CMAA 70 standards. The work includes an initial survey, concrete imaging, and grout pocket assessment. The contractor will provide anchors suitable for cracked concrete and seismic loading, and fill grout pockets with two-component aliphatic polyurethane elastomer grout. Sequencing must minimize downtime of the intake crane. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
