Description
Essexville-Hampton Public Schools is soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed pool mechanical and plumbing contractors to repair the Garber High School natatorium. The base bid includes replacement of the existing six-inch main drain modulation valve; supply and installation of a CAT 4000 chemical controller, flow cell, acid pump, and chlorine pump or approved equal; installation of an integrated flow meter; testing, calibration, startup, site protection, and pool safety measures. An alternate bid must separately price abandonment and rerouting of the corroded main drain system, including obtaining any required EGLE variance, draining the pool, installing new wall-mounted drains and Schedule 80 PVC piping, coring the pool wall, sealing penetrations, providing pipe supports, and coordinating pool downtime. The contractor must provide permits, staff training, warranties, and an operations and maintenance manual. Proposals must address qualifications, comparable project references, approach, schedule, pricing, licensing and insurance, risks, subcontractors, and exceptions.
