The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a firm-fixed-price commercial repair service to furnish and install OEM-compliant condenser coils for Circuits 1 and 2 of a CGAM060F2A chiller at Building 14 of the VA Illiana Health Care System. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and related services required for the work. The scope includes refrigerant recovery and containment, system isolation and lockout/tagout, removal and disposal of existing coils, installation of replacement coils and associated components, pressure and leak testing, evacuation and charging, startup and commissioning, site restoration, and final documentation. Required deliverables include a project schedule and safety plan, OEM coil submittals, recovery logs, test reports, commissioning documentation, photographs, warranty documentation, as-installed notes, daily safety checklists, and a consolidated final completion package. Personnel handling refrigerants must hold EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal certification, and the contractor must demonstrate comparable HVAC/chiller coil replacement experience and hold all required state and local licenses. Onsite work must be completed within 30 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
