Description
Armstrong Township High School District 225 seeks a contractor to remove and replace the existing connection between the high school and adjacent AG building with approximately 250 linear feet of fiber optic cable. The contractor must provide all required equipment, materials, cabling, hardware, labor, installation, termination, testing, labeling, cleanup, and as-built documentation. The outdoor portion is expected to be suspended between the buildings, although alternate solutions may be considered. Fiber optic cabling must be Corning or equivalent, and installations must comply with the specified TIA/EIA, BISCI, ANSI/TIA/EIA, electrical-code, fire-stopping, support, separation, bend-radius, and labeling requirements. The contractor must evaluate the existing termination equipment and determine whether it can be reused or must be replaced, including whether it can remain in the existing shelves. The solicitation also identifies related Category 2 needs for switches and necessary software or licenses, antennas/connectors and related components, racks, and basic maintenance of those items. Proposals must provide itemized quantity, manufacturer, part number, description, unit price, and extended price; separate eligible and ineligible services; include per-run pricing, two similar-work references, an E-Rate SPIN number, and a ready-to-execute contract incorporating the stated E-Rate contingencies. The project is contingent on district approval and Category 2 E-Rate funding, and the district may scale back or cancel the project.
