Description
The City of Danville is soliciting a contractor for complete demolition of the structures at 212–216 N. Logan Street, including removal of foundations, slabs, garages, driveways, sidewalks, stairs, basement and crawl-space debris, and overgrowth. The work includes asbestos abatement, demolition debris disposal and tipping fees, backfilling and compaction, topsoil placement, seeding, erosion control, debris cleanup, pavement cutting, and post-seeding watering and grass maintenance. Trucks must be wrapped by a certified asbestos company, and work must comply with City of Danville Ordinance 151.26. The contractor must provide a firm, fixed lump-sum price and complete the demolition within 90 days after award. A statement of qualifications may be requested or voluntarily submitted and is limited to five pages, with company and staff qualifications, relevant experience and three references from the past five years, technical approach, and ability to meet the schedule. A five-percent proposal bond or other specified proposal security is required with the bid; a 100-percent performance bond is required after award. A certificate of insurance with a $1,000,000 limit is required.
