Champaign Community Unit School District No. 4 is inviting sealed bids for the repair of a football stadium light tower located behind the west bleachers at Tommy Steward football field at Centennial High School. The tower is the middle of three existing towers on the west side of the field. The scope of work includes lifting, laying down, and re-standing the light tower; electrical disconnect and reconnect; removal and replacement of all anchor bolt nuts (4) and installation of appropriate washers where the anchor is eccentric from the base plate anchor hole; tooling the anchors and base plate surface to prepare for coating; installing a bead of sealant at the top and bottom of each nut to avoid water contact; coating all anchor, nut, and base plate surfaces with 2-coat epoxy and a finish coat of urethane; removing failed leveling grout and installing new leveling grout; and regrading the area to expose the concrete foundation and anchors, or excavating and backfilling with 3/4" clean rock. The vendor is responsible for procurement of all equipment to perform the scope of work including access to the light tower location.
