Description
Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking pricing for six LivaNova Xtra Cell Saver Systems for cardiac and other major surgical procedures where significant blood loss is anticipated. The systems collect, process, and return patients’ own blood through autologous transfusion, supporting patient blood management and reducing reliance on banked blood products. Replacement with the same manufacturer and platform is recommended for departmental standardization and operational efficiency, although vendors may propose equivalent systems and must provide clinical and operational documentation demonstrating equivalency. The procurement is subject to New York State Finance Law Sections 139(j) and 139(k), the Lobbying Law. The successful contractor must complete and submit documents relating to Vendor Responsibility, NYS Finance Law Section 139, NYS Tax Law Section 5-a, and valid, current New York State workers’ compensation and disability forms.
