Preventive Maintenance and Repairs of Medical Equipment

Correctional Service Canada requires preventive maintenance and repair services for medical equipment at all CSC institutions in the Quebec Region, excluding the National Capital Region. The contractor must provide qualified labor, expertise, products, accessories, tools, equipment, and transportation to service the equipment in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and Accreditation Canada's Required Safety Practices. The scope covers medical and physiotherapy equipment including vital-sign monitors, electrocardiographs, infusion and syringe pumps, oxygen concentrators, stretchers, patient lifts, blood-pressure monitors, thermometers, nebulizers, bladder scanners, beds, and related devices. For each facility selected, the bidder must cover all listed equipment, subject to exclusions where manufacturer proprietary rights restrict parts or service. The contractor must provide equipment inspection lists, comprehensive visit reports, device-specific reports, calibration certificates, repair recommendations, tool and equipment lists before each visit, and institution-specific invoices. The procurement is awarded to the lowest-priced compliant bid and is open only to Canadian suppliers and suppliers from applicable trading partners. Bidders may submit for one or more facilities and must demonstrate at least two years of relevant preventive-maintenance experience during the three years preceding bid closing.
