Description
The City of Sunnyvale is soliciting a lump-sum bid for comprehensive public works construction at its Water Pollution Control Plant. The scope includes site work; construction of a new approximately 30,000-square-foot, two-story administrative, laboratory, and maintenance building designed for LEED Gold equivalency; demolition and remediation of the existing administrative building; temporary trailers and facility improvements; landscaping; roadway and parking improvements; utility relocations and installations; IT and networking improvements; security fencing; hydrostatic flood gates; and utility work within the oxidation ponds. The project also includes approximately 1,255 linear feet of reinforced-concrete perimeter floodwall with a permanent slurry wall, security fencing, backfill, Bay Trail detour coordination, Carl Road paving and gate improvements, and installation of a buried 48-inch isolation valve. The solicitation requires a registered California Department of Industrial Relations public works contractor and includes a 10% bid bond, 100% payment bond, and 100% performance bond. The total project cost is estimated at $20,757,818, and the work is expected to proceed through partial and full notices to proceed.
