Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a firm-fixed-price general construction contractor for Project 438-21-403, renovation of the first-floor kitchen at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System. The work includes demolition and site improvements; architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical upgrades; and installation of kitchen and food-service equipment. The contractor must coordinate phased construction while maintaining hospital operations, provide required site supervision, safety, and quality-control personnel, and comply with infection-control, safety, environmental, quality-control, submittal, and commissioning requirements. The contractor is responsible for providing climate-controlled storage for owner-furnished equipment. The solicitation is a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside, requires an SBA-certified SDVOSB, and lists an estimated construction magnitude of $10 million to $20 million.
