Description
The City of Springfield is soliciting sealed bids for the 2026 RTP Trail Improvements project. The work includes mobilization; traffic control; removal and disposal of existing asphalt; saw cutting; excavation; gravel base; asphalt surfacing; installation of a park bench, pet waste bag dispenser, and bollards; seeding and fertilizing disturbed areas; and related appurtenances. Bid alternates include asphalt sand sealing, additional seeding and fertilizing, asphalt crack sealing, asphalt overlay, and milling existing asphalt surfacing. Bidders must provide all labor, materials, and equipment. The project is partially funded by the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks, Division of Parks and Recreation, and applicable funding-agency requirements must be met. Each bid requires either a certified check or bank draft for 5% of the total bid, or a 10% bid bond in lieu of the check or draft. A copy of the bidder's South Dakota sales and use tax license and excise tax license, or acceptable evidence of licensing, must accompany the bid.
