Description
The City of Cleveland is soliciting a contractor to provide miscellaneous carpet cleaning services at its Water Pollution Control facility. The scope includes cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing carpets; pre-spotting excessively soiled areas; moving movable chair mats and other floor items as needed; and using low-odor, low-moisture cleaning agents with an encapsulation method. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment, and perform the work on Saturdays. Services will be ordered on an as-needed basis, with the purchase order valid for one year or until funds are exhausted, whichever occurs first. Bidders must submit three professional references for similar commercial work and MSDS sheets for all chemicals to be used. The bidder must have been in the carpet-cleaning business for at least five years. A site visit is strongly encouraged before bid submission, and the successful bidder must visit the site before beginning work. Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder.
