Description
The City of Cleveland is soliciting bids for 840 boxes of ice melt containing the equivalent of 20% calcium magnesium acetate (CMA), identified as Premiere Ice Melt, Item No. PRE50. The product must be supplied in 50-pound packaging and meet specified performance and safety requirements, including being nontoxic, nonflammable, FAA-acceptable, noncorrosive, non-damaging to concrete, asphalt, vegetation, carpets, and floors, free-flowing with anti-caking agents, and capable of melting at -8°F while providing instant traction. Pricing must include shipping and handling, and delivery must be quoted in workdays after receipt of an order. The purchase order will remain valid for one year or until funds are exhausted, whichever occurs first, with orders placed as needed after departmental approval. Bidders must submit a product sample and applicable Material Safety Data Sheet with the bid; the sample must be provided at no charge and clearly marked with vendor information and the RFB number. The bid package must include the completed Request for Bid form and Terms and Conditions, Northern Ireland Fair Employment Practices Disclosure, and Wage Theft Form. Evaluation will consider unit price and delivery time in determining the lowest and best bid.
