Description
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is soliciting a lump-sum bid for short-term repairs to an approximately 70-year-old water control weir at the north prong of Alligator Creek in Babcock Webb Wildlife Management Area. The work includes concrete spall repairs, crack repairs of various sizes, and repair of a significantly eroding cold joint, in accordance with the construction plans and specifications. The contractor must provide all permits, materials, equipment, labor, insurance, testing, and related services necessary to complete the project. The bidder must be a Florida-licensed general or specialty marine contractor, or a contractor certified in Charlotte County, and must submit the required bid forms, subcontractor list, at least three similar-project references, experience and financial information, and applicable licensing or registration documentation. A mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit is required. The estimated project budget is $45,000. The selected contractor must furnish 100% performance and labor and material payment bonds, and the work is scheduled for 30 calendar days to substantial completion followed by 10 calendar days to final completion.
