Description
The City of Bakersfield is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from experienced engineering firms to provide comprehensive design services for two projects: construction of Water Well CBK-81 at 1922 Risborough Court and treatment improvements for Well L-211 at 11105 Lewelling Street. The treatment project must address 1,2,3-trichloropropane (TCP) and evaluate the existing hydrogen sulfide treatment vessel system for replacement or refurbishment. The selected consultant or consultants may support one or both projects and must prepare plans, specifications, bid documents, engineer’s estimates, and project schedules; provide 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% design deliverables; respond to contractor questions; support addenda; review submittals and shop drawings; provide construction observation and on-site consulting as requested; assist with change orders and final inspection; and prepare record drawings. The SOQ must include firm and personnel qualifications, comparable municipal water project experience, claims history, and an insurance-coverage statement. A California-registered civil engineer with relevant groundwater, well design, permitting, TCP or hydrogen sulfide treatment, and drinking-water regulatory experience is required on the team.
