Description
The project involves HVAC noise-reduction work in a laboratory, including demolition and removal of designated existing ductwork, removal and reorientation of an existing terminal unit, installation of new ductwork and sound attenuators, and acoustic enclosures for variable-air-volume equipment as shown in the drawings. The contractor must coordinate the mechanical work with existing building operations and complete equipment startup and system testing as specified. The proposal must include a lump-sum price, the completed vendor qualification questionnaire, and bid bond documents in one PDF. The bid form requires pricing and prequalification information, and the proposal must acknowledge addenda, including the pre-bid meeting minutes. A bid bond of 5% of the base bid is required for bids of $50,000 or more; performance and material-and-labor payment bonds of 100% of the contract amount are required at contract signing, subject to the stated under-$50,000 exceptions. Prevailing wage requirements apply to project labor.
