Description
The City seeks a qualified architectural and engineering team to assess existing conditions and develop a master plan, then provide phased programming, design, bidding assistance, and construction administration for an expansion and renovation of its Public Safety building. The facility is expected to remain operational during design and construction, so phasing should minimize disruption. The project is intended to support integrated police, fire, emergency medical, and emergency operations functions, with improvements that may include expanded apparatus bays and storage, a new garage, training and administrative spaces, evidence storage, employee wellness and support areas, dispatch and technology infrastructure, security, ventilation, and resilient, energy-efficient building systems. The requested services span existing-conditions assessment and programming; schematic design; architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, security, and technology design development; permit-ready construction documents; bidding support; and construction administration. Proposals must include a qualifications and technical response, project approach and schedule, relevant project experience, references, and a detailed fee proposal. The estimated construction budget is $11 million.
