Description
The project involves demolishing and abandoning the existing lift station and constructing a new duplex submersible lift station with a wet well, valve and meter chambers, pumps, process piping, control panel, and natural-gas generator. Work also includes reconnecting to the existing gravity sewer and force main, replacing the force-main drop connection, and restoring disturbed surfaces. The base bid includes cleaning, televising, and lining the existing force main with flexible fabric-reinforced pipe (FFRP). Bidders may price an alternate for cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining instead of FFRP, an optional deduction for a combined award with a separate lift-station project, and an alternate for coating the wet-well interior. A bid bond equal to 5% of the maximum bid price is required. The pre-bid conference is mandatory, and the bidder must also visit the project site.
