Description
Allegan County is soliciting proposals for a timber harvest in the mapped and ribboned 39-acre area within the north unit of Silver Creek County Park. The contractor must follow the specified tree-marking and species restrictions, protect the site and public, coordinate work scheduling with the Parks Manager, and restore ruts and work areas after harvesting. The estimated sale volume is 1,092 cords of mixed oak logs and bolts, firewood, and aspen; bidders must provide a price per cord for each listed product based on their own estimates. The total estimated value is for bid comparison only, and the contractor pays the County for harvested timber under the stated payment terms. The proposal must include company information, experience harvesting timber for three commercial clients in southwest Michigan with references, any proposed scope variances, a signed Timber Harvest Agreement, and the completed and certified pricing table. Pricing for forestry head mulching may be included as an optional additional quote. The agreement restricts subcontracting unless authorized in writing or clearly disclosed in the proposal with subcontractor details.
