Description
The Kent County Road Commission and the Michigan Department of Transportation seek contractors to furnish 26% mineral well brine, equipment, labor, and traffic-control devices for application to primary and local roads and state trunklines. Work is scheduled as needed based on weather and operational needs, with no guaranteed usage. Contractors must provide at least one reliable brine tank sprayer, qualified operators, and the capacity to respond promptly to requests. Bids must include separate hourly and per-gallon rates for the county road system and state trunklines. The contract is scheduled to begin November 10, 2026, and services are expected to end by May 1, 2027, with one additional winter-season renewal possible by mutual agreement. A current material test result from the supplier, dated within six months, must accompany the bid. The bid pricing sheet and bidder questionnaire are required; the pre-qualification record is required for new contractors and may be waived for current contractors with authorization. Insurance documentation is due after award, not with the bid.
