Description
The Town of Hingham is soliciting sealed bids for construction of eight new post-tensioned concrete pickleball courts at the Carlson Field Athletic Complex. The scope includes tree and stump removal, site regrading, court posts and nets, walkways, benches, shade shelters, fencing, sound attenuation, a new asphalt parking lot, ADA pathways, erosion control, construction fencing, drainage, landscaping, and related site improvements. The work must comply with Massachusetts prevailing-wage requirements and the provided plans and technical specifications. The estimated construction cost is $1,300,000. Bidders must submit a lump-sum price, a written scope and project schedule, qualifications demonstrating at least seven years of sports-court or paved athletic-facility construction experience, similar-project references, and the required certifications, bid security, insurance documentation, and portal responses. Construction is scheduled to commence in December 2026, reach completion in May or June 2027, and complete final closeout items by October 31, 2027.
