Description
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting a supplier to furnish and deliver 11,000 feet of 12-strand and 7,000 feet of 96-strand outdoor, single-mode fiber optic cable in accordance with Specification 16749P. The cable must meet detailed requirements for low-smoke zero-halogen construction, water blocking, fiber performance, flame ratings, testing, labeling, packaging, and reel delivery. The supplier is responsible for design, manufacture, quality control, testing at the point of manufacture, freight, transport, and delivery; installation and final field testing are assigned to a separate contractor. Bids must include the required bid forms, signed MBTA Standard Terms and Conditions, descriptive or manufacturer specification information, and proof of insurance. Delivery is required by September 2, 2027, to the specified Boston destination. Award will be made to the lowest-priced responsive bid from a responsible bidder.
