Description
Boston Public Schools is seeking a vendor to provide computer-based or online language proficiency assessments across the district in a wide variety of world and home languages. The assessments must support Massachusetts Seal of Biliteracy eligibility, World Language credit conferral, dual-language course placement, and World Language course placement for students in Grades 7–12, with an elementary-grade option. Required capabilities include assessment of speaking, listening, reading, and writing where available; standardized scoring; scoring services; language-specific pricing; and support for large-group testing and retakes. The vendor must provide a centralized portal with district- and school-level administration, role-based access, Google Workspace single sign-on, testing-window and usage controls, student/school/district reporting, data exports, security and privacy safeguards, accessibility compliance documentation including a current VPAT, and applicable integration capabilities. The vendor must provide implementation, technical, billing, and testing-window support and describe its data-security, privacy, AI, and incident-response practices. Bids must include a cover page, response to the scope and minimum quality requirements, ownership details, three references, insurance documentation, pricing, and the required Wage Theft Prevention Certification. The contract is expected to run from November 2026 through August 31, 2029.
