Description
The University of North Carolina Wilmington is requesting qualifications for advanced planning services for HVAC system refurbishments at Cornerstone Hall, Keystone House, and Innovation House. The anticipated scope includes replacing or refurbishing air-handling units, controls, heating and chilled-water components, distribution systems, related electrical and plumbing systems, and building-envelope modifications intended to improve energy savings. The selected firm may be retained, at the University's option, through schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. The project is anticipated to involve early procurement and initial work beginning in late 2027, with phased construction continuing through late 2029. The posted planning budget for advanced planning is not to exceed $1.5 million; a separate placeholder estimate of approximately $30 million is also stated. Responses must include project expertise, similar-project past performance, proposed staff and consultants, workload, design approach, cost and schedule experience, construction-administration capabilities, area familiarity, completed-project record, and an SF-330 architect-engineer qualifications form. The response is limited to 20 letter-sized pages, excluding the cover page, brief letter of interest, table of contents, and SF-330 form, and must be submitted as one PDF no larger than 10 MB.
