Description
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority requests statements of qualifications from consulting engineering firms for water supply long-term planning. The project involves developing an inventory of future water supply alternatives; identifying capacity, treatment, capital investment, regulatory hurdles, stakeholders, and estimated timelines; and developing a scoring and ranking methodology for combinations of alternatives to meet a minimum of 50 MGD of additional peak-day demand beyond the current finished water supply. Deliverables include a comprehensive identification and ranking of alternatives, GIS layers, and Excel files for future assessments. The project budget cap is $300,000. Statements of qualifications will be evaluated based on project understanding and approach, relevant firm experience, and overall staff experience. The selected firm will negotiate a detailed scope of work and fee schedule. No pre-submittal conference will be held.
