Description
Nevada County is soliciting a licensed contractor for a lump-sum public works remodel of its Central Services mailroom and associated office space. The scope includes interior demolition, concrete flatwork, light-gauge interior wall construction, drywall, mechanical and electrical work, new exterior entry and interior doors, flooring, painting, accessibility and egress improvements, fire protection modifications, and related construction necessary for a complete project. The contractor must coordinate with County vendors responsible for low-voltage access-control work and owner-furnished equipment. Addendum No. 3 further clarifies requirements for new concrete flatwork, flooring and paint throughout scheduled rooms, storefront doors and electrified hardware, accessibility and exit signage, fire extinguishers and cabinets, selective ceiling repairs, and a C-16-licensed fire-protection contractor for permitted fire-monitoring modifications. The project includes a required fire-protection permit submittal package with updated system drawings and hydraulic calculations. The engineer's estimate is $234,800. The contractor must hold a current California B contractor's license and comply with prevailing-wage, Department of Industrial Relations registration and monitoring, construction-waste diversion, building-code, and other public-works requirements. Work must be completed within 90 calendar days after mailing of the Notice to Proceed. Addendum No. 3 must be acknowledged in the bid; failure to do so makes the bid nonresponsive.
