Description
Chino Valley Unified School District is soliciting informal CUPCCAA bids for tree planting in kindergarten areas at 20 elementary school sites. The contractor must supply and install specified 36-inch-box trees, prepare planting areas using native soil, install watering basins with three stakes and ties per tree, protect and restore surrounding turf and property, remove designated trees, and clean up green waste and debris. The project includes dedicated irrigation systems for artificial turf areas at Rhodes Elementary and Cortez Elementary, including valves, lateral lines, low-volume emitters, risers, valve boxes, weed-barrier fabric, and reinstallation of artificial turf. The contractor must provide a completion schedule, coordinate work with the District Maintenance and Operations Supervisor, maintain safe school-site work areas, replace trees that die or perform poorly, and perform structural pruning three times during a one-year maintenance period. The estimated construction cost is $125,000. Prevailing-wage, California public-works registration, Class C-27 contractor licensing, approved-contractor-list, subcontractor-listing, DVBE, insurance, bid-security, performance-bond, and payment-bond requirements apply. The contract documents state a 90-calendar-day contract duration in the notice, while the agreement form states 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed; this discrepancy should be clarified before bidding.
