Description
Summit County is soliciting a contractor to create five bankfull wetlands: two along West Fork, two along Yellow Creek, and one along Idle Brook. The work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation and grading, rock and wood installation, maintenance of flow and dewatering, erosion and sediment control, vegetation establishment through live stakes, native seed mix, mulch, and container trees, construction of stream and wetland connections, and restoration of disturbed areas. The contractor must also provide construction staking and layout, protect and coordinate around existing utilities, and obtain required permits and approvals for its work. The engineer's estimate is $2,156,650.00. The advertised completion date is December 30, 2027; however, the supplemental specifications also state substantial completion by February 14, 2027, and final completion by March 14, 2027. Electronic bids must be submitted through Bid Express by September 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time; hard copies are not accepted.
