Description
The State seeks a qualified design firm to develop plans and specifications for replacing the bakery cooler enclosure and repairing exterior masonry at Corbett-Miller Hall. The cooler work includes evaluating existing equipment, designing a new enclosure, and identifying any necessary equipment modifications or repairs. The masonry scope includes control-joint replacement or additions, full-depth replacement of failed masonry corners, tuckpointing, and evaluation of EIFS and downspout conditions at cast-stone transitions. The design services also include field examinations, coordination across required design disciplines, cost opinions, construction documents, code review, bidding assistance, and construction administration. Proposals must include separate Technical and Cost Proposal files, with the Technical Proposal organized into the specified exhibits. The selected firm must be licensed or registered in Iowa as applicable to its design work; professional liability insurance of $2 million will be required under the resulting contract.
