Description
The project involves replacing lead and galvanized water services, including public- and private-side service lines, with new copper service lines. Associated work includes water main and service connections, interior plumbing modifications, exploratory excavation, and removal or abandonment of existing service components. The bid schedule also includes hydrants, valves, traffic control, and related utility work. The contractor must restore affected streets, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and other surfaces, and perform related site restoration. The work includes coordination with property owners and tenants, phased construction scheduling, and compliance with State Revolving Fund requirements, including disadvantaged-business-enterprise forms and domestic-content provisions.
