Description
The City is seeking a supplier for 3/8-inch pebble quicklime and ground (fine) quicklime for potable water treatment and wastewater operations. The estimated 2027 quantities are approximately 13,800 tons of pebble quicklime and 750 tons of ground quicklime across three facilities; these estimates are informational and do not guarantee purchases. Bids must price each product per ton, delivered, and cover supply, delivery, insurance, permits, testing, and related fees. The supplier must be able to provide 24-hour emergency delivery service, with routine deliveries scheduled during specified weekday hours. Products must meet the stated calcium oxide purity and applicable AWWA specifications. The bid must include product quality assurances, typical chemical and physical reports, a recent chemical and sieve analysis, guaranteed product-content information, and ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certification documentation naming the end supplier. Suppliers without quicklime deliveries to the City in the past five years must also provide a representative 6-pound sample before the bid deadline. The contract has a one-year initial term with four possible one-year renewals by mutual agreement.
