Description
The project involves phased additions and renovations at an existing junior high school. Work includes constructing a full-service kitchen and serving area; converting the existing pool and locker room areas into a gymnasium; converting the competition gymnasium into a wrestling room and classrooms; and converting the existing kitchen into classroom space. The work also includes structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, technology, and fire alarm improvements, including HVAC modifications, lighting and power distribution work, fiber network relocation, and fire alarm replacement. Site work includes utility modifications, pavement milling and restoration, and landscaping. The district anticipates a project cost under $10.2 million and will receive a single general contractor bid covering all subcontractors. Bid security of at least 5% is required. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required from the successful bidder after award.
