Description

The City of Stuart seeks a licensed contractor to construct one Floridan Aquifer production well for its water treatment facility. Base-bid work includes drilling and installing steel and PVC casings, grouting, flow testing, well logging, pump testing, well development, formation-water disposal, disinfection and water-quality sampling, and site restoration. Bidders must hold current Florida Water Well Contractor and Certified General Contractor licenses. An additive alternate covers a complete operational wellhead and connection to the raw water main, including site/civil work, well pump and motor, piping, electrical and instrumentation components, generator, and fiber-optic communications. The solicitation requires a bid guarantee equal to 10% of the total proposed amount when the proposal exceeds $50,000; successful bidders must provide payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount. The base bid has a 210-calendar-day substantial-completion period and 240-calendar-day final-completion period from the Notice to Proceed; with the additive alternate, those periods are 360 and 420 calendar days, respectively.
