Palm Beach County is seeking firm, fixed pricing and a single fixed percentage discount from current Caterpillar MSRP pricing for construction equipment, OEM parts, and repair services under a term contract. The scope includes stand-alone OEM parts, parts used for repairs, service at the vendor’s facility, field repairs through mobile service, travel charges, and related equipment repair support. Only Caterpillar products and authorized Caterpillar manufacturers, dealers, distributors, resellers, or service providers will be considered. The contract is for an initial 12-month term with four additional 12-month renewal options. Parts must generally be available within two hours for stock items and seven business days for non-stock items; repair work must begin within three days of notification and be completed within five days after starting. The vendor must maintain a repair facility, secured after-hours vehicle storage, a licensed repair shop, and at least three fully equipped service trucks. The solicitation requires references for at least three similar projects completed within the past three years and written manufacturer authorization if the quoter is not the manufacturer. Insurance, OEM warranties, local-preference documentation, and applicable certifications are also required as specified.
