Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks two full-time contract operators to operate its membrane/ultrafiltration water treatment plant. Operators will work on site during normal operations, 06:00–14:30, seven days a week, and are not required to be on call. The work includes operating the plant in automatic and manual modes; testing water quality and maintaining chemical and clarity levels to meet EPA potable-water standards; and supporting water distribution, wastewater collection, therapeutic pool, and water tower operations. The VA will provide plant familiarization training as needed. Contractors must collectively hold and maintain Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Level 2 Water Treatment, Level 1 Water Distribution, and Level 1 Wastewater Collection licenses; the licenses may be held by different personnel. Equipment repairs are the VA’s responsibility, while operators must report damaged or broken equipment. The stated term is six months, with four three-month extensions.
