Description
Palm Beach County seeks one or more contractors for a continuing construction contract on an as-needed, work-order basis. Work may include milling and disposal of existing asphalt pavement; furnishing, hauling, and placing asphalt concrete; maintenance of traffic; and related roadway work such as manhole and valve-box adjustments, wheel-stop removal and reinstallation, shoulder work, and high-friction surface treatment. The pay-item worksheet lists estimated quantities across east and west districts, but the County does not guarantee that any work orders will be issued. The contract establishes unit prices for work orders, with a total contract ceiling of $80 million. The contract expires 18 months after Board approval and may be extended by mutual written agreement, up to 36 months total contract time. A mandatory minimum SBE subcontracting participation goal of 18% applies. Bidders must submit the specified bid forms and supporting materials, including OSBD Schedules 1 and 2, proposal pages, a bid bond, and either an FDOT prequalification letter or a qualifications and experience package, subject to the stated requirements.
