Description
Palm Beach County is soliciting qualified contractors to replace eight existing air handling units at Highridge Family Center. The work includes furnishing and installing new chilled-water air handling units, upgrading pneumatic accessories and controls to digital controls compatible with the existing Trane system, upgrading the Trane Tracer building automation system, replacing dampers, ductwork, valves, gauges, and related piping and electrical components, and completing testing, balancing, commissioning, permitting, and cleanup. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and professional services; coordinate work with the facility; submit construction schedules and product submittals; provide as-built documents and certificates of completion; and furnish a six-month supply of MERV 13 filters. Substantial completion is required within 360 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required, and bidders must be qualified under the County's annual HVAC services contract. Bid security of at least 5% is required when the bid is $200,000 or more; a 100% public construction bond is required before execution of a qualifying work order.
