Description
Palm Beach County is soliciting qualified contractors under its annual HVAC construction contract to furnish and install replacement chilled-water air-handling and humidity-control units at the Supervisory of Elections facility. The work includes ductwork, dampers and actuators, chilled-water piping and valves, insulation, gauges, electrical work, variable-frequency drives, condensate discharge, MERV 13 filters, equipment labeling, permits, and related materials and labor. The project also requires Automated Logic building-management controls integrated with the County's existing system, system testing and balancing by a licensed third party, commissioning with the County's project manager present, as-built documents, warranties, and certificates of completion. Work must be substantially completed within 260 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Qualified contractors must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting, submit the required SBD schedules and certifications, and comply with the stated bid-security and bonding requirements when applicable. Employees must satisfy the specified critical-facilities background-check requirement.
