Description
The City is prequalifying contractors for a future construction bid to install approximately 9,000 linear feet of 24-inch water transmission main and approximately 5,800 linear feet of 8- to 12-inch distribution piping. The project also includes trenchless tunneling beneath a major roadway, fire hydrant replacement or relocation, abandonment of existing water lines, reconnection of existing service connections, and associated restoration and improvements. The plans and specifications provided are interim 90% design documents for prequalification only, not for bidding or construction. Applicants must demonstrate relevant water or wastewater pipeline experience, project performance, personnel qualifications, bonding capacity, financial condition, and safety performance. The prequalification application requires project references and details, organizational and personnel information, financial statements, safety records, and a signed surety statement regarding bid, performance, and payment bonds. Only prequalified contractors will be eligible to submit a bid when the construction project is advertised separately.
