Description
The Georgia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from firms prequalified in the required demolition, underground storage tank removal, and asbestos-abatement service classes. Work covers four Laurens County parcels along U.S. 441, including demolition and removal of a commercial structure with regulated asbestos-containing materials, a carport canopy, water wells and associated equipment, well houses, fencing, septic drain-field lines, debris, foundations, and related encumbrances. Contractors must provide labor, equipment, tools, transportation, traffic control, cleanup, disposal, erosion and sedimentation controls, and required notifications. Demolition workers must have GDOT-approved awareness training, and a qualified Blue Card holder must remain on site. The bid package consists of the completed and signed ITB, including required tables, pricing, certifications, and applicable subcontractor documentation. The complete package must be uploaded through GA@WORK Marketplace in PDF format by the stated deadline. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder will be selected. The awarded contractor must complete the work within 30 days after the Notice to Proceed and must subsequently provide insurance and 100% performance and payment bonds.
