Description
The City seeks a contractor for a fixed-price design-build project to remove and dispose of existing playground equipment and safety surfacing, then design and install new playground facilities for children ages 2–5 and 5–12. The design must incorporate a Monarch butterfly theme, inclusive and ADA-accessible equipment, and a two-bay arch-style swing set with belt, toddler, companion, and accessible swings. New engineered wood fiber safety surfacing must be installed at the specified depth, with subsurface drainage included in the design. The work also includes temporary fencing and public-safety measures, site restoration, and a comprehensive safety audit and written certification by an independent, third-party Certified Playground Safety Inspector before the playground opens. Equipment must meet the specified playground safety standards and be IPEMA certified. The total project compensation may not exceed $200,000. Proposers must submit the provided Proposal and Qualifications Form, Price Schedule, and Subcontractor List Form; the qualifications response includes three recent public-project references. Performance and payment bonds and insurance documentation are required after selection, not with the proposal.
