Description
The project involves complete demolition and removal of nine existing buildings, including foundations, footings, concrete slabs, and below-grade construction. The contractor must disconnect, cut, and permanently cap utilities at or near each building while protecting existing utility distribution systems and site improvements, including paving, sidewalks, curbing, and perimeter fencing. Demolition debris must be removed and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations, and excavations must be backfilled and rough-graded to provide safe, stable, and properly draining conditions. Hazardous and regulated material abatement will be performed by others before demolition. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is a prerequisite to bidding. Bids require security equal to 10% of the bid amount plus additive alternates; the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price.
